WHO DETERMINE THE FATE OF A CHILD

A friend of mine, Mallam Moshood, one of the lmams in Akpajo central mosques rivers state sent me a story that touches my heart and I decided to share with those that follows my blog especially parents. “Who determined the faith of a child”. As parents how patient are you with your children mostly when they are facing challenges, when the going is getting tougher. Have you ever realized that the words you alter to your child can go a long way determine what that child will become in future in respective of his present condition? Please take a moment and go through the story of a genius, Thomas Edison.
GENIUS OR MENTALLY ILL
A story is told about a young Thomas Edison who came home one day with a paper for his mother. He told her, my teacher told me to give this paper only to my mother.
Thomas’ mother read the note and her eyes filled with tears. Thomas asked his mother what the note said, and she read it aloud, Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.
And that’s exactly what Thomas’ mother did, she home-schooled her child with devotion.
As the story goes, many years later after Thomas Edison’s mother passed on, and he was now one of the world’s greatest inventors, he found a folded paper among other family items.
He open the very same paper that had been handed to him to give his mother and read the following message; “Your son is mentally ill, we won’t let him come to school anymore”.
At that moment, Edison realized what his mother had done for him so many years ago.
He wrote in his diary; Thomas Alva Edison was an addled child that by a hero mother, became the genius of the century.
In the book of proverbs we learn; the words of the reckless piece like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Can you imagine what might have happened to Thomas Edison if the mother had read to him the reckless and hurtful words written by his teacher? He might never have invented the light bulb or made his many other contributions to society.
Thank God for the wisdom and the wise words of his mother! She created the context in which her son could grow to his full potential.
MORAL
Let’s take this message to heart and resolve to use our words for healing today. You might be a parent, what do you say to you children.
You might be a teacher, what do you say to your students especially the one that are not really performing well presently.
What do you say about your parents, family, boss, subordinate, leader, colleague, followers. Just as hurtful words can cause uncontrolled damage for life, so can wise words positively affect a person for life.
May the words you use today change a life for better. So wisely select you words inspiringly when communicating with anyone in your day to day life and make a different in the life of others; so said the story.

ON MY BIRTHDAY AND TEN YEARS MARRIAGE ANNIVERSARY

Alhamudulillah, I thank Allah who have shown me mercy again, an opportunity to clocked another year in a healthy style. Birthdays are special no doubt but my 2018 birthday is unique, coincided with my ten years marriage anniversary, a grace from God you will say!!!  What will a man of half a century say order than to give praises and thanks to his creator. I was and I did determine to celebrate my birthday different from the way I used to and I thank Allah I was able to do so. All I now ask Him is to accept it from me as an act of lbadah, Ameen.
I honestly did not want to say anything about my birthday this year because am short of words, overwhelm emotionally. I intended to stay quiet and reflect on the years have spent on earth so far, prayers and supplication. But I change my mind because of the number of calls and messages from my love ones family and friends, as a mark of appreciation for their love, support and care for me. I knew that this is the easiest means to reach out to most if not all that sent good wishes to me on my birthday. I want to sincerely say am grateful for your calls, messages and prayers. It is joyful to know that you are there for me and I pray to God to reward you all with fruitful years ahead.   To my family, friends including Ikabigbo Aloaye port harcourt  branch family, you all are grate, wonderful, amazing, my able chairman mr Alegeh, thank you all.
To my beautiful wife, ten years age you told me I do and you have proved it over the years. I want to tell you how much I appreciate you. If I had in an way hurt you, it is not intentional, but love in action. To my kids, Abdul, Amina, Rahama and Sawdah, I love you all. I dedicate my ten years marriage anniversary to God almighty for see us through over the years and I pray to Him to be there for us now and always, also pray for His guardians and protection, good health, long life and prosperity  Ameen.
Birthdays are remainders to us that we are getting closer to their permanent home, “THE GRAVE”. Surely we will all leave one day with no material or property, empty we came so shall we all return. No power or might, on business, no politics, no profession that can stop us from returning to God whether good or bad but we alone have the power to make it good or bad. Protect yourself and family from the anger of God and do the best of your ability to humanity. (Here we meet the world and we will leave it because is not our own.) May Allah forgive us and make our coming to Him easy for us, Ameen.

Aliu was born to the family of mallam Saliu Abu from Etsako west local government area of Edo state, Nigeria. She was brought up in Lagos and having received her primary and secondary school education at unity high school, Oshodi Lagos, she hold HND degree in marketing from Nasarawa state Polytechnic, member of institute of management, a potential BSC in financial management from university of port harcourt by the grace of God and also a student of institute of chartered accountant. An ex-banker, Mrs S. E. Aliu is correctly  with Market Square Nig Ltd, one of the fastest growing indigenous retail shop in Nigeria. Mrs Saidat is married to Mr Aliu Yakubu in a family of  four beautify kids.

Shout out naja are proud of you and we will not fail to re- echo how your hubby feel lucky to have you as his woman and the mummy of the house. He revealed to shout out naja how friendly, beautify and a kindhearted mother you are!!!. A complete Africa woman to the core, your sweet heart wish to appreciate you for your understanding and be there for him and the family, also pray for your good health and many glorious years ahead. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie Are Engaged!

It was the on-screen romance that sparked a thousand memes — and now, five years later, a real-life engagement.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are engaged, a source confirms.

The actors first stirred up relationship rumors in 2012, in sync with their fictional Game of Thrones counterparts, Jon Snow and Ygritte.

Though they reportedly split after a year, they later reconciled and continued to fuel romance speculation until they officially confirmed the relationship in April 2016, making their red carpet debut as a couple at the Olivier Awards in London.

A month after going public with the relationship, Harington, 30, opened up about the early days of the romance, which began on set while shooting in Iceland for season 2 — sweetly admitting that those weeks were his favorite of the series, and for good reason.

“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love,” he said in a cover story for L’Uomo Vogue. “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”

Back in 2014, Leslie, 30, also touched on her relationship with her heartthrob costar — and their famous season 3 sex scene — in an interview.

“Kit is a lovely and funny man, and a dear friend,” she said. “We had known each other before we started working together on Game of Thrones. It was always such a privilege to be working opposite him and such a blessing that we get on in real life because it made our characters more believable.”

“It was my first sex scene that I’ve ever done and it was weird,” she admitted. “But I felt that it was important for the characters and the audience to get to see just how much they have fallen in love. We got to see them in their own little world, with no outside interests or power plays or nasty surprises. It was just two characters finally getting together.”

Harington revealed he and Leslie have moved in together during a June appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

“I’ve moved in with my other best friend, Rose,” he said. “I’m very, very happy and it’s going well. She has all sorts of ideas for the house.”

“I said to her — because she moved into my house — I said, ‘Look, darling, it’s important that this is our space, that it feels like our space and that you haven’t just moved into mine. Move anything you want around — change anything or chuck anything out.’ ”

“So I went to the shops and I came back and said, ‘What did you decide?’ ” he continued. “And she went, ‘We’re moving the kitchen downstairs.’ ”
Nicole Kidman, who was also a guest on the show, then jumped in and casually asked, “Are you going to get married?”

“Oh, wow!” said Harington as Corden roared with laughter.

“No, I just think it’s kind of nice — if you’re going to live together, maybe to at least get engaged,” Kidman continued. “I’m working hard for her here!”

“I’ve been put on the spot by Nicole Kidman!” said Harington with a laugh. “I mean, it’s step by step, step by step.”

Serena Williams welcomed her first child with fiance Alexis Ohanian

The tennis champ has welcomed her first child — a daughter! — with her fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, multiple outlets report.

Baby girl arrived Friday, Sept. 1 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, weighing in at 6 lbs., 13 oz., according to a Tweet from WPBF-25 news producer Chris Shepherd.

“Obviously I’m super excited. Words can’t describe,” sister Venus told ESPN moments before stepping on to the court for her U.S. Open match in Queens, New York Friday afternoon.


PEOPLE confirmed Williams’ pregnancy in April after the 35-year-old inadvertently revealed on Snapchat that she was 20 weeks along. Williams and Ohanian, 34, were engaged in December.


Ahead of their daughter’s birth, the couple revealed that they were opting to leave the baby’s sex a surprise, though both shared that they felt they were having a girl.

“[Serena] won the Australian Open while pregnant. And she remarked that she feels like it has to be a girl because everything that that baby went through and handled like a champ, only a woman could be strong enough to take on,” Ohanian said during a late-night talk show appearance in early August.

The pro athlete echoed her fiancé’s sentiment to Vogue in its September issue, revealing, “I have a strong suspicion that it’s a girl.”


In the same interview, Williams also admitted that she was “nervous” about giving birth, lamenting, “I’m not a spring chicken.”

“The one thing I really want is an epidural, which I know a lot of people are against, but I’ve had surgeries galore, and I don’t need to experience any more pain if I can avoid it,” Williams added.


“That’s something I have to work on,” Williams said. “I’m so used to me-me-me, taking care of my health, my body, my career. I always ask, ‘Am I going to be good enough?

WOMAN SET TO MARRY SON

Woman set to marry son who impregnated her in Zimbabwe
A man is set to wed his mother after it turned out that he got her pregnant in an incestuous relationship.

A 40-year-old mother in Zimbabwe, Betty Mbreko, is set to officially marry her 23-year-old son, Farai, after she got pregnant for him, reports Zimbabwe Chronicles.

According to the reports, Betty who is a widow, is six months pregnant for her son, a result of their incestous relationship, which has resulted in her carrying her son's brother and her grandchild.
Betty who lost her husband 12 years earlier, had been living alone with her son but somewhere along the line, their relationship moved from mother-son to lovers and they began sleeping together, culminating in the pregnancy.

When the pregnancy became pronounced and her husband's family questioned her, Betty announced that her son, Farai, was the father of the baby she is carrying.
She told the village council where she was dragged to that she prefers getting married to her son instead of her late husband's brothers who have been coveting her for years.

She allegedly told the court:

“Look, I strove alone to send my son to school and no one helped me. Now you see that my son is working and you accuse me of doing something wrong. Let me enjoy the products of my sweat.”

Farai too told the court he is in love with his mother and is more than prepared to marry her.

“I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price and I am prepared to pay it off. It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant, otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity,” he reportedly said.

The local headman, Nathan Muputirwa, lamented the situation, saying that in the past, the incestuous mother and son would be killed:

“We cannot allow this to happen in our village. This is a bad omen indeed. In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot do it because we are afraid of the police.”

THE NECESSARY END OF A MAN.

       No matter how powerful, rich and influential you are or poor, weak and unpopular, the news of one's end time is always taken with a piece of salt, the word "DEATH". Funny enough, every man knows that death is certain, an inevitable end but he is heedless, unprepared for it. Each time our relative or the next door neighbor died, we console ourself and given self assured the our's is yet to come. How little is our knowledge, knowing that we have never been involved in creating ourself nor the creator engaged us in creation, forgotten that we live under the commands of the creator.
      On the 25th December, 2014, I travelled home to sympathized with my elder sister who loss her husband. On getting home, I was told that we loss an elderly man in the village and they were about to bury him at that moment. I decided to follow the congregation to the cemetery before going to see my sister. I am very familiar with the village cemetery, I used to go there when ever we loss somebody in the village but that was a long time ago. Today, I find myself in the village cemetery looking strange to me though I saw it in my dream a night before. I could not recognized the position my mother was buried ten years ago, not to talk of my father, thirty two years ago. Today, comes another victim, not because God hate him but because today is his end time. His children, relative, friends were there but all left him when we were leaving, no one was sympathetic enough to stay behind or was any of his properties given to him. Oh what a life full of vanity up on vanity all is vanity, what a wasted effort if he did not earned forgiveness from his LORD, what a terrible and horrible place was the grave if he did not earned GOD mercy. Preachers have been telling us time without number, just like today, how worthless is our coming to the world if we did not work according to the will of God, yet we are heedless, stubborn, deceiving ourself that our time is yet to come. We waste so much time on things that are not beneficiary to us forgotten that death have no notices. The old, young, rich, poor, strong, weak must die one day and thereafter judgement day.  
        Today, remind yourself that you no longer have the time to waste, seek for the forgiveness of your sin, reconsign with your LORD and your neighbor, be your brother keeper. Let the lord live in you any moment of your day so that you can have peace when your time comes, death the necessary end.
